What it is: holidays calculation (Easter algorithm by Gauss) with Birthday pre-warning for German, Austrian and Luxembourg users of MacOS-X.
System requirements: PPC processor, MacOS 8.5 and CarbonLib 1.6 or newer or MacOS-X 10.2.8 or newer.
TermineX uses the Gauss-algorithm for the Easter calculation (valid for all years after 1582). It is able to calculate all essential German, Bavarian, Austrian and Luxembourg holidays and also some French holidays. Use the Preferences-dialog to enable/disable the holidays you will need. In this dialog you can also determine the preview/look-back period and the language of the user interface (German, English, French). Via "File / Enter new birthdays..." you can define your own "special days / birthdays". The calssical holidays will be displayed in the left section of the program's main window, and the user defined "birthdays" will be displayed in the right section of this window. In case of "birthdays" the entered birthday-date will be displayed.
"File / Calendar..." will show the actual year's calendar. Sundays and holidays are displayed in red. Actual day will will be highligthed in blue. Help tags will be displayed when the cursor will be placed on a holiday date, showing the name of the holiday (MacOS-X only). You can change the calendar's year via the disclosure triangle in the windows upper right corner: an edit field will appear where you can enter the year (or use the up/down arrows (down to 1582 and up to eternity)).
On program startup TermineX will check for the actual date. If it is a holyday then this entry will be shown in bold letters. If it is a user defined "birthday", then it will also play a short melody. Special "birthdays" are higlighted with a green sign.
On program close all user defined entries will be stored in the preferences file "TerminePrefsDataFile", together with the enable/disable informations of the holidays and the windows' size and screen positions.

Thanks to Steve McClaire (aka TheBlood!) for his advice and his GadgetMunger.exe tool, showing me what is in the files. GadgetMunger does most of the required jobs much much better than my tool. So if you feel that there is still a bug inside my tool, use GadgetMunger or Sgt. Wilson's Xtank.exe. Thanks to Mick Conmy (xe5) and Cpl_Filth for their help and advice (file formats) in the past.
